Asia feeds 60% of the world's population, raises 75% of its farm animals, and generates 60% of global food emissions. The region that transformed from scarcity to abundance in one generation now faces a harder challenge: making that abundance sustainable.
Animal protein consumption here already surpasses the E.U. and U.S. combined, accounting for half of global growth in demand. Most animals are confined in industrial systems that intensify suffering while accelerating disease transmission. Diet-related illness climbs. Land and water strain under production pressure.
